Our instructor Gary and the whole team at the company are amazing. We did a beach trash pick with them on a Sunday for Trash heroes.
We did the cheapest package for our PADI course and the boats and reefs were still lovely 🙂

Discover Scuba

Our boys first tried a pool dive with Gary to ensure they liked the experience . Then at short notice Gary & Nut organised a private boat with lunch for 2 boys 10 & 12 myself and partner and daughter.
The boys dived one at a time one in the morning and one in the afternoon supervised by Gary with myself tagging behind ( after I’d completed a refresher after not diving for 10 years ).

He was calm and confident with them ensuring they understood the processes and requirements expected of them. He explained everything thoroughly and in a way they understood.
On both dives he kept hold of the boys only progressing further when they were ready. Each in for a hour at a time at a suitably safe depth.

A pleasure to dive with and we hope to see him again maybe in Turkey for possibly some formal qualifications.

Instructing with a smile

I had been lucky to be taught by Ann on several occasions in the past few years.
Ann is a detailed instructor and does not compromise. Each element of the training is described and exercised until the students are able to demonstrate the exercise themselves without issues or doubts. Each training is performed in a great atmosphere and with fun our sport deserves. Ann’s attitude has always been very positive, instructing with a smile and personal touch.
Needless to say, Ann is my and my partner’s favourite dive instructor combining very positive approach to every student, thorough training agenda and great training infrastructure. We will be back to expand our skills making use of Ann’s passion, knowledge and experience in our sport.

Awesome Liveaboard

We did liveaboard with Ann and Gary a couple of days ago and it was awesome! Literally the best thing to do if you love diving.

From the beginning the communication with Ann was great, she was very responsive and I felt I could ask her everything (and if it is your first liveaboard you will have lots of questions for sure!). The equipment they provided was all new and well maintained. The boat itself was good, had aircon and comfy beds. The food on the boat was great, not to mention the staff - a bunch of friendly people who were helping us a lot with the equipment. It's great not to have change the tanks each time you go diving. 🙂 The sites were great and I feel my confidence as a diver grew a lot during the trip. All in all, fantastic experience and the organization of the event was just perfect! I recommend diving with G2S to everyone.

Above and Beyond

A friend and I received our PADI certifications and booked a live aboard trip with Go2Similan and we could not be happier with the experience.

Getting back to diving

My wife and I recently decided to venture back into diving after a 3-year break. Gary was a superb instructor. He accommodated for our lack of recent experience by giving us small but specific steps. Once we had found our 'feet' again he guided us through a couple of speciality courses. At all times he was friendly in his manner and professional in his standards - just the right balance.

Ann arranged for our equipment, various courses and activities, including a liveaboard trip. She was friendly, efficient, and a superb and patient organiser. I have been diving since 1983. Both Ann and Gary are very good individually, but as a team they are excellent.

Great experience with Gary

My partner Jun and I just completed our open water dive certificate with Gary. We started in the deep pool and Gary was so reassuring with us. Gary was extremely supportive and encouraging, making it possible for Jun to gain the confidence on the full mask off task and move on to to the open ocean.
The pool facility he uses is so perfect - probably as good as you will find anywhere in the world . Unfortunately the day we went to the open sea it was a fairly high swell and very murky as we booked in for the last week before the season closed. He did warn us when we booked for the date.
Gary is very professional and brought two of his young workers to also go down with us . We had to follow an anchor rope down but we both felt extremely safe and in good hands at all times.
Gary didn’t take any short cuts because of the conditions - we still had to do everything. We feel we had the best experience we could get and thank Gary and his wife Ann very much for organising a great training experience.
At the end of our trip Ann taught us about how to find the right mask and we just happened to find one to perfectly fit Jun. The retail shop they operate also has a very good variety of diving essentials and accessories. We definitely recommend Go2Similan and will go back one day to Similan islands with Gary.

Did my Open Water Course and Adventure dives with Gary. He was such a brilliant instructor, very patient and supportive!

The shop is brilliant, managed to buy a cool mask there and a rash vest!

Definitely where I would go again and where I will continue to dive with!

Me and my wife spend 4 days with Gary for the Open Water certification.

He was calm and caring. Focus on safety and making sure we understood everything. Made sure we had a good time and got the skills required at the same time

I would highly recommend everyone to dive with them.

Perfect experience!

I booked 2D1N liveaboard OW course with G2S.

Gary and Ann are perfect instructors with clear instructions and patience, help me go through each steps carefully, build up my confidence, take care of the safety.

Overall, it is 5 star experience. 

Highly recommended for learning diving, especially for a non-confident swimmer

Perfect first diving experiences

Thanks to Gary I was able to finally fulfil my dream of becoming a certified Padi diver.

Even during the busy time around Easter he managed to arrange for my diving classes and he was a perfect diving instructor. He was really patient and friendly.

I also really enjoyed our trip to the Similan Islands and to Boonsung Wreck!!

Open Water Course

My partner and I spent a week in Khao Lak and decided to take the open water certificate.
Gary from Go2Similan was a fantastic mentor and helped us throughout our training which started a couple a weeks before we actually landed in Thailand!
For our final dive, we went to the Similan islands which is definitely worth the extra £s.

Outstanding diving experience

Go2Similan provided an outstanding personalised diving experience with excellent customer service and good value during my stay in Khao Lak.

As a solo traveller never having dived in Thailand, I wanted to do my Advanced Open Water course, a Nitrox Course and dive reputable sites in the region. The friendly team at Go2Similan were able to customise course and dive options that met my needs for my week long stay in Khao Lak. This included a refresher dive, dives to the stunning Richelieu Rock and a series of local dives wrecks, all of which were amazing fun, safe and well organised.

The week long diving experience was truly memorable. A big thank you to Gary, Ann, Nut and the Go2Similan team for a hastle-free experience and for making me feel so welcome into local community.

I highly recommend Go2Similan for anyone looking to dive in the Similan-Surin islands region.

Warm and welcoming from start, they listen to what kind of experience we wanted and adjust the trip to match our wishes at the same time as they thought about the degree of difficulty to match our experience.

Well planned trip from start to finish.
They even lend me a camera to take pictures with during the dives and helped us make nice pictures together.
Really patient and calm.

We couldn't be more happy and if we come back to Khao Lak we will without a doubt choose this G2S again.

Phenomenal Mentor

Ann was staff instructor on my IDC and I can’t say enough how happy I am that she was.

This woman is super motivated, organised and has a great sense of humour that lightens up any subject. She is very patient and willing to give extra help and tips if your struggling especially with theory.

I also really appreciated her firmness of holding us to a higher standard, helping us grow and become quality instructors. All the constructive feedback and many words of wisdom and her way of putting your worries at ease really made a difference.

Her passion really shines through.

First-Rate Instructor

Ann has the patience of a saint, both when working with beginners who are doing a scuba review and when she is developing entry-level professionals for their Divemaster certification.

Her ability to put herself in the shoes (fins?) of her student and gently nudge them along made her a favoured instructor in the dive centre where I managed about 90 staff.

She has since become a Course Director and applies the same principles, including a generous amount of wit to developing Open Water Scuba Instructors.

You cannot have a better instructor, especially if you're trying to overcome any issues or challenges.

Ten out of ten

Ann is a very passionate and informative teacher!! She has a broad knowledge on dive theory and portrays it well to her students. She is very kind and patient. Ann was staffing my IDC last year and without her I wouldn't have passed my theory exams the way that I did. Her analogies saved my life. The comparisons and familiarities she used in her explanations and teaching made the KISS (keep it so simple) seem all so realistic in what was a very stressful time for me.
She was a total rockstar.
She has a dedication to teaching and engages with her students, she will go out of her way to ensure you have an understanding, with her years of experience she has a lot of knowledge to give, especially for new professionals in the industry. So I believe her new title as a Course Director is perfect for her. It's important IDC candidates have a mentor like Ann.
Her experience, advice, skills and teaching, I rate a ten out of ten!!.
