Boonsung Wreck
Boonsung Wreck was an old tin mining vessel that sank in the 1970’s. As a part of the industry that destroyed the local reefs, it is ironic that it now forms a habitat for masses of fish – particularly juveniles, and is locally known as ‘fish soup’.
The wreck is slowly crumbling and there are no parts that are safe to penetrate. Each year parts of the structure collapse, creating an ever-changing site.
The wreck is sitting on the sand at a depth of 18 metres, making it suitable for all levels of divers.
Our Speedboat – Nemo 2
Our speedboat – Nemo 2 gets you to all of the local dive sites in just a few minutes. No long, slow trips on local longtail boats – just a fast efficient trip to the dive site.
The tanks and gear bags are already loaded, you just need to get on board and go.
Nemo 2 has lots of space – although the boat is registered for 24 people, we take a maximum of 10 divers to make sure that everyone has enough space, and we have a marine toilet on board.
Prices
All our local trip prices include trip insurance but not dive insurance.
These prices are for 2 dives, and includes tanks, weights, snacks and soft drinks.
Meet at our dive centre, or meet at the pier if you prefer.
