Early-Bird Speedboat Snorkel Trips

Our Similans and Surins Snorkel Trips are for everyone, but especially for those who want to get away from the crowds.  We offer an early-bird trip that gets to island 8 before the masses, and with a maximum of 32 people on our boat, you don’t have to share your personal space with lots of strangers.

Our trip includes beach time on both islands 4 and 8, picnic lunch at Honeymoon Bay on Island 4, 2 long snorkelling sessions on the amazing Similan Islands and a small group size.  We start on Island 8 with a beach visit then snorkelling to avoid the crowds, then move to Island 4 for picnic lunch and more snorkelling.

05.00 – 6:00 Pickup from hotels

07:00 Depart to Similans by speedboat from our pier.

Arrive at Similan Islands and have some beach time with snacks and drinks on island 8

Hike up to the viewpoint for iconic photos before it gets busy

Snorkelling away from the crowds 

Move to Island 4, and land in Honeymoon bay

Beach time on Island 4 with a picnic lunch

Walk round to Princess Bay

16:00 Arrive back at our pier. and transfer back to your hotel.

Early-Bird Snorkel Trip to the Similan & Surin Islands — FAQ

The Early-Bird Snorkel Trip is a small-group speedboat day trip from Khao Lak to either the Similan or Surin Islands. The trip departs earlier than most operators, arriving at the islands ahead of the crowds so you can enjoy the beaches, viewpoints, and snorkelling in peaceful conditions. The boat carries a maximum of 32 passengers.

Prices per person, including national park entry fees, are:

  • Adult – Similan Islands: 3,900 THB
  • Adult – Surin Islands: 4,100 THB
  • Child – Similan Islands: 2,900 THB
  • Child – Surin Islands: 3,300 THB

The price includes hotel transfers from the Khao Lak area, speedboat transport, full snorkel equipment, a picnic lunch, snacks and drinks, and all Marine National Park entry fees. Nothing is hidden.

Hotel pickups begin between 5:00 and 6:00 am, with the speedboat departing from the pier at 7:00 am. The trip returns to the pier at approximately 4:00 pm, with transfers back to your hotel after that

After arriving at Island 8, the group enjoys beach time with snacks and drinks, followed by a hike to the iconic viewpoint before the larger tour boats arrive. There are then two long snorkelling sessions — one off Island 8 and one off Island 4. Lunch is a picnic at Honeymoon Bay on Island 4, and there is also time to walk around to Princess Bay. The boat departs back to the pier at around 4:00 pm.
