While studying the PADI Advanced Open Water E-learning Course you will learn about different diving possibilities open to you. You have 3 sections that you must complete, and then lots of optional chapters about diving that you may not have tried yet.

The 3 mandatory sections are:

• Think like a diver
• Deep Diving
• Navigation

Optional chapter include things as diverse as:

• wreck diving
• digital underwater imaging
• peak performance buoyancy
• search and recovery diving
• fish identification

The adventure dives that you do on the Advanced Open Water Course are all the first dives of the related specialty course. If your instructor is a specialty instructor, they will be able to offer other adventure dives like Nitrox as well.

During the course, you will learn techniques that you will practice later with your instructor.  This theory is the underpinning knowledge that you will need so that you can take your diving further. It includes videos and knowledge reviews.

The e-learning course includes a certification code, which belongs to you – once you have completed all the practical steps with your instructor they can certify you using the code that comes with your course.  You can take this code to any PADI dive centre, PADI resort or PADI instructor to complete your course.
