What will I learn?

You will learn all the latest teaching techniques. As soon as you book you will gain access to our unique online learning hub. It includes theory assessments and knowledge reviews, checklists and revision aids, with lots of extra material for you to use once you start teaching. We use the latest digital products during your Instructor Development Course.

Our schedule includes revision for theory and skills, as well as extra training in emergency procedures, accident management and accident prevention. We also include a FREE Human Factors in Diving seminar. We offer lifetime access to our extra materials.

Course Pre-Requisites

To qualify for training on your PADI IDC Instructor Course, you must:

Be at least 18 YEARS OLD
Be certified as a diver for a minimum SIX MONTHS
Have experience in night dives, deep dives and also navigation
Be a PADI Divemaster or equivalent dive leader certification with another agency
Have at least 100 LOGGED DIVES by the time that you sit the Instructor Exam (IE)
Be fit for diving and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months. The PADI EFR course meets this requirement, and we can renew this with you if necessary.

The Course Director

Ann has been working in Khao Lak since 2013. Having staffed IDCs for many years, she recently took the next step to Course Director and is putting those years of experience into practice here at G2S.

She is patient, thorough, and fun, with a way of making even complicated things seem easy. As one of a very small number of female Course Directors, she will get you to achieve your best with smiles and encouragement.

Ann has the patience of a saint, both when working with beginners who are doing a scuba review and when she is developing entry-level professionals for their Divemaster certification.

I had been lucky to be taught by Ann on several occasions in the past few years.
Ann is a detailed instructor and does not compromise. Each element of the training is described and exercised until the students are able to demonstrate the exercise themselves without issues or doubts. Each training is performed in a great atmosphere and with fun our sport deserves. Ann’s attitude has always been very positive, instructing with a smile and personal touch.
